MARTA TO PARTICIPATE IN WORLDWIDE EFFORT
HIGHLIGHTING NEED FOR MORE PUBLIC PARK SPACE
ATLANTA - The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid
Transit Authority (MARTA) is a proud participant of PARK(ing) Day, hosted by
the Georgia Institute of Technology on Friday, Sept. 15. This worldwide event
deprioritizes cars and focuses on creating public space and activities for
people.
MARTA’s Research & Analysis Department
will transform a curbside parking spot near Tech Square into a green parklet
and engage with people about their travel behavior.
