Rail On-Time Performance

Definition: Measures how closely the service ran to schedule. Departures from origin and arrivals to destination are considered on time if made no longer than 5 minutes after the scheduled time.

Performance (May 2018):

In May, met the Target; the actual being 97.20%. 196 delays were related to rail car failures, 100 delays were related to passenger issues (medical emergencies/door obstructions/police interventions), 59 delays were related to track work and 49 delays were caused by Automated Train Control (ATC) issues.
