MARTA CEO Remembers Reverend C.T. Vivian
Statement from MARTA General Manager/CEO Jeffrey Parker on the Passing of Reverend C.T. Vivian:
MARTA mourns the passing of civil rights legend Reverend C.T. Vivian. A leader who fought on the front lines against racism, hatred and injustice, Rev. Vivian was also a consummate negotiator in the board rooms pushing for equity and inclusion.
Through the organizations he founded - the C.T. Vivian Leadership Institute and the nation’s top diversity and inclusion consulting firm, Basic Diversity - Rev. Vivian lived his commitment to the hard work of racial reconciliation and opening doors of opportunity and understanding at every organization that had the foresight to engage him.
MARTA is humbled by the opportunity to work with Basic Diversity, under the leadership of Rev. Vivian’s son Al, and we extend our deepest condolences to the Vivian family.
