MARTA TO HOST NATIONAL
VOTER REGISTRATION DAY EVENT
Non-Partisan Voter
Registration Effort Held at 7 Rail Stations
ATLANTA - The
Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will host local non-profit
organizations at select rail stations in observance of National Voter
Registration Day 2021. Organizations will conduct non-partisan voter
registration activities Tuesday, Sept. 28, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at
Five Points, College Park, Doraville, H.E. Holmes, Kensington, West End and
Lindbergh Center rail stations.
National Voter
Registration Day is celebrated on the fourth Tuesday of September by thousands
of volunteers, organizations, and businesses around the country. For 12 years,
MARTA has joined community partners to expand civic engagement opportunities
and encourage voter registration and election participation.
Participants
should bring a state identification card or state issued driver’s license or be
prepared to give the last four digits of their social security number.
